These terms govern your use of the Residents Pro app. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. What Residents Pro is

Residents Pro is software that helps a residential estate manage dues, identity and access, community communication and a vendor marketplace. We provide the platform; we are not your estate. Your estate’s management sets its own dues, charges, rules, approval decisions and security policies. We do not set them and cannot overrule them.

2. Your account

Give accurate information, and keep it current.
Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Your estate’s administrators approve and can suspend your access to that estate.
You must be 18 or older to hold an account. You may register household members, including minors, for identification and gate access.

3. Payments

Payments are processed by third-party providers (Flutterwave, Paystack). Your card details go to them, not to us.
Amounts owed are set by your estate, not by us. Questions about what you owe, or a refund, go to your estate’s management.
A platform service charge may be added at checkout. It is always shown before you confirm, and it is separate from your estate’s dues.
Payment is confirmed only when the provider confirms it. A receipt in the app reflects a payment we have verified with the provider.
Cash and bank-transfer payments recorded by an estate administrator depend on that administrator recording them correctly.

Refunds. We do not hold your dues — they are settled to your estate. Refund requests must be made to your estate’s management. We will help with a transaction record where a dispute requires one.

4. Digital IDs and guest passes

A digital ID or guest pass is an access credential. Do not share one with anyone not entitled to use it.
Your estate’s security staff decide whether to admit any person. The app records the decision; it does not make it.
Your estate may suspend or revoke a credential under its own rules.

5. The marketplace

Vendors on the marketplace are independent businesses, not us. They are responsible for their goods, prices, delivery and any applicable licences. Disputes about an order are between you and the vendor; your estate approves which vendors may serve it.

6. The personal vault

Vault contents are encrypted on your device with a key derived from your PIN. We cannot read them and we cannot recover them. If you forget your vault PIN, that data is permanently lost. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

7. Acceptable use

Do not:

attempt to access data belonging to other residents, households or estates;
probe, scan or interfere with the service, or try to bypass its access controls;
post unlawful, harassing, defamatory or deliberately false content;
use another person’s identity, credential or payment method;
use the app to collect residents’ personal data for unrelated purposes.

We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

8. Availability

We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, provider outages and network failures can interrupt it. Where the app is unavailable, your estate’s normal offline processes continue to apply — a dues obligation does not disappear because the app is down.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for: decisions your estate makes; the acts or omissions of estate administrators, security staff or vendors; loss of vault data where a PIN is forgotten; or indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud.

10. Ending your use

You may stop using the app and ask us to delete your account at any time (privacy@residentspro.com). Some payment records are kept as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms, or if your estate ends its use of Residents Pro.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app before taking effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
